Warranty Jedi

I figured that I should start from the beginning.  I was born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.  I moved to North Carolina in 1993 and have called this amazing place my home ever since.  Starting in high school, I have since worked in customer service my entire life.  I have 10 years of construction experience (not including growing up on jobsites being a builder brat).  I have an amazing wife of 12 years, and two daughters.  Garman Homes found me in 2015, and I haven’t looked back. 

My title is that of Warranty Jedi, due to my obvious obsession with Star Wars.  The first time that we meet will be your 45 day G-Team Checkup, which includes a few subcontractors to perform various inspections.  At that time we will discuss the warranty process for the duration of your warranty period.  We have created a Warranty page on our website, http://garmanhomes.biz/warranty/, that includes valuable information regarding maintenance of your home as well as warranty standards.  Please reference that page quarterly for helpful information regarding your home.  

Around the 11 month mark, I will reach out via email to schedule a visit at your home.  We will at that time discuss our 11 month G-team of contractors that we send out, as well as any additional warrantable concerns.  A date in the future, the work will be scheduled and then we will wrap everything up.  And please do not hesitate to email me in the interim or after your warranty period with any questions you may have.  I’m here to help!

Should you have a mechanical concern, i.e. electrical, plumbing or Hvac, we have given those phone numbers to you so that you can contact them directly for your convenience.  And again, if you have any questions, please shoot me a quick email.

The best piece of advice I can give to you as a new homeowner is this:  keep a small pad of paper in your kitchen or next to the bed, and keep a list of questions that may seem warrantable.  Then reference the Warranty page, http://garmanhomes.biz/warranty/.  If you need me to stop by and inspect something, let me know.  Things can happen, and not all items will be covered under the warranty, but rest assured Garman Homes is here to help in any way that we can.

Shortly after writing this, I will be starting my next blog:  Winter is Coming… which will outline various maintenance items to watch out for during this time of year.
